Job Access is a new program of NET Trans that has been established to provide transportation to and from work for eligible clients. The goals of the Job Access Program is to be an incentive to maintain employment for individuals without means of transportation. This program will allow individuals to become familiar with using public transportation as well as linking rural areas to employment opportunities. Job Access is especially designed for rural citizens to provide needed transportation to and from work including child care centers. In addition Job Access can accommodate shift work, as well as weekends. Funding for the Job Access program is provided by The Federal Transit Administration, The Tennessee Department of Transportation, and The Tennessee Department of Human Services.
NET Trans has received a Rural Access to Jobs a Reverse Commute Federal grant that allows us to transport individuals to and from work at no cost to the individual. Job Access is for individual whose annual income is within the guidelines established by the Department of Health and Human Services. We are accepting referrals from Human Resource Services, Employment Agencies, as well as call ins. If guidelines are met, NET Trans can begin service within 24 hours.
